Here we are on day 2 of my constant blog for our handmade tutu business Pocketful of Posies. We are coming up on Eater this weekend and wedding season underway! We have gotten a few orders already and it is so exciting to be able to create something that is unique for someones special day.
How many of us out there had some cute handmade dress for their flower girls to prance and twirl down the aisle in? Not mine....I did however have handmade wings for my girls. They were so cute!but daughter didn't think so, but she is the tom boy of our bunch and that was just to girly of a day for her, frilly dress , hair curled and WINGS! |

So blogging is the thing to do now a days. This is the new line of communication to get not only your business out there in the internet atmosphere but also a way to express your opinions, talk about your life,etc. Well here I am blogging about our business. This whole concept idea started with my sister making bows after looking at some and saying" I can do this" She made some bowsand then got connected with ETSYand when we all connect with Etsywe all fall in love! SOO much Handmade gifts, vintage stuff, unique things that are not easy to find unless you are looking on |

So we have decided to not only have our website and sell on Etsy, we have ventured this year into selling on Zulily. Zulily is a website that sells children's clothes and accessories for a discounted price. The do what they call sale events, these events last for usually 2-4 days . You can get 30%- sometimes 70% off of retail price on items listed in the event. They not only sell mass produced merchandise but also handmade items like what we here at Pocketful of Posies make. This is very excited and nerve wrecking at the same time. |

Well here we are in the Christmas season coming to a close in 2 weeks. Have you got all you shopping done? I have not! You would think that being a crafter and a sewer it would be easy peasy.....but no! Time is the biggest constraint that causes the backlog for the " handmade" gift rush. I have ventured into trying to make recycled sweater mittens, kind of excited about how the outcome will be once I doctor them up a bit, button here, pocket there...sort of thing. Mom also came up with a new way to LINE our tops to make them so they are not see through and gives the dresses more coverage! |

Christmas is just around the corner and we are ready! WE have been doing some craft shows this season and now are looking into doing what we have been trying to do for almost a year now...ZULILY!!
This will be a huge endeavor for us and we are very excited about this.
If you are wanting anything before Christmas place your orders now so that we will be able to fit it into our schedule and get it to you in a decent amount of time! Have a great Holiday season and happy Black Friday shopping........... |

All of our work is custom made to order, that you may have known but did you know that we can custom create something just for you, your idea and your colors?! Just because you don't see it here or our other websites(Etsy or Facebook) doesn't mean we can't do it! If you have any idea or seen something somewhere else , send us a picture of it or write to us and we will make it work for you! We have a lot of creativity here but sometimes we can't come up with everything! |

 Valentines day is almost here!!! I am trying to come up with little ides for my little ones to make the day special! We always are thinking of our husbands or boyfriends but our little tikes are our Valentines too! Make their day feel special and give them something to look forward to on that day from their Mommies, Aunties or Grandma!!
You can still order from us, unfortunately we can get it to you on time for Valentines Day but better later than ever!!
